i filled up my newly build 1100 na engine on the traveller a while ago but now filled it up with cooling water for the first time. overnight it seemed to have a leak. ( only a drip over something about 12 hours) it has not run yet but would it be something to worry about?

North of the Netherlands

Have you traced back where it comes from?
First thought would be head gasket, but might well be coming from somewhere else like thermostat housing.

Dazed and Confused....

Is it 11 stud? Leaking out via the extra stud where tapped into the water jacket?

Dorking

I always run them without any water first just for a minute.
Especially a composite style gasket. Seems to melt the and seal it before putting water in.
Advised this by vmaxx and my dad an ex rover tech.
