if you get stuck, its actually not to bad to do them with a hacksaw and some chain drilling. just takes a bit of time

Just google for places with a laser or water jet machine who are local and they should be able to cut you them out.

Or trawl egay etc, often places selling random stuff.

Or forget the local nonsense, Ralph at www.componentengineering.co.uk should be able to sort you.

Or I think there are some members on TM who have offered laser cutting services before ?

Right Ideally I want a GT1548 turbo

I found this online

This is the biggest GT15 turbocharger that Garrett have. It's a 200 HP turbo and you see that it does not have the same turbine housing as the smaller Garrett turbos have like the GT12 and the two smaller GT15 turbochargers. The turbine housing here is the T25 turbine housing and that means you can use a T25 / T28 turbo inlet flange with this GT1548 turbo.

Does this mean I could build a hybrid turbo from the Above GT1549 and a T25 turbo?

In reply to your DM Stephen I don't have the part number for the gt1548. It was never fitted as standard to a production car I don't think.

Garret sold a lot of them in the states in the snow mobile scene.

Mine has Got a 360 degree thrust bearing and the accuator has been altered so the actuator can can be mounted above the engine.

I'm not sure they still make them, as garret seem to have rationalised there product range

Thanks for the reply matt

I thought so the smallest turbo they sell seems to be a gt20 now brand new.

Thanks though I may have to import on or make a hybrid at this rate.

Or start searching small turbo cars

Thanks
