Hi guys I've rebuilt my standard hiff 44 carb with a turbo rebuild kit from burlen and I have followed all the advise given to me by searching on here and help from you guys ,and I have recently read that if using the standard turbo manifold I will have problems with the throttle cable position , I have been looking for any pictures to show what's needed to sort this issue out but I can't find anything , I also read that part of the carb could be drilled to accommodate the throttle cable but not sure where to do this I have added a picture of my manifold to just make sure I will be needing to mod , any advise or pics will be fantastic cheers lee

All I know is the turbo throttle lever is on the left of the carb when viewed from the front of the car; not sure what impact that actually had on the situation. I lost mine and had to modify an NA level to fit the left side

The throttle cable has to be mounted to a plate (IIRC called a throttle abutment plate) between the manifold and carb. These are still available, but not sure the "turbo" one is...
The choke cable can be located onto the arm hanging out the back of the carb to one side; just drill thru 1mm for the cable and drill partially thru for the OD of the choke cable sheave (4mm ish drill) that allows the sheave to drop into and be located..
Doing this, in my opinion, is a better solution than having the cable pointing forwards, looping over the top of the hot manifold, and there is also no chance of losing the little clip as you're not using it...

Thank you Chaps that's great , I have the plate you mentioned Dave but I would need to mount two spacer plates so that the throttle part of the carb does not foul the manifold when the throttle starts to open !! Will this be ok in your opinion? As I'm not sure if this will affect anything
