His

I've has a look but got different opinions.

My cooling set up is minispares 2 core side mount rad with no mechanical fan. Electric fan on the wing. Rad ducted to wing.
Extra rad in direct air flow with small fan fitted. Fed from just after the pump, returned to drain plug at back of block.
Dry decked
Electric pump plumbed into the dry deck hose, sucking water out the block and returned to the head.
Water cooled turbo fed from just after pump and returned to top of rad.

Now do I need to fit a thermostat or a sleeve? Or neither?

Thanks
Josh

Hi Josh,
If your running a controller then a sleeve should be used, but if your just running the pump flat out then i would fit a stat with 6mm holes drilled around the edge to act as an extra bypass.
I run a controller with my electric pump and a big front mount rad but i have had to fit a stat because the engine does not rise above 62c even on track, and thats with the pump on warm up mode.

Doesn't it normally run out of the head and into the block?

I'll just fit normal thermostat with holes then I guess.

I'm not running a controller as they seem a bit elaborate for what it is.

Old post

Am I right in what I said above about plumbing my electric pump in the dry deck hose?

Taking water out the block and into the head? Then out of the thermostat into the top of the rad?
