Theyre not the same, its only a part of it that I need which is the same. Theyre not all that heavy, if I make them from aluminium to match the quarter lite surrounds they will be far too flimsy - I dont want them breaking while Im flying down the road at 130+mph

As Andy says, they do seem prone to rust, especially the bit that is on the outside of the window. I would say it'd be a shame to spoil a pair of windows that had good catches.

However MiniSpares have some that shouldn't be rusty!

The ones in my original windows are stainless steel, I assumed they all were tbh as Ive never seen or noticed rusty ones.I dont really want to wreck my originals

I seriously doubt it!

Checked mine tonight Paul and they are all rusty im afraid. The one on the left is the best out of the bunch but still not very good.
