Hi!

I need to get another 3cc out of my 25cc 12G940head.
Is the red area safe to take away, ist there any water/oil ways in this area?:

Not an expert. And there is some thing close to it but i have done it. Even bit more then that.

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

It's safe to remove but it's not the best way. Keep the beak and find the volume in the 'corners' of the chamber

Either of those areas is fine to remove material from. I'd put a picture up showing how far you can go, but photobucket has restricted hosting now. There's plenty of pictures on my FB page if you're on there ?

Been along while since I last posted. I did all you have been advised is okay to do but also took 1mm out of the chamber roof. If you go that root you cant take much from the perimeter walls or you risk brake through and fitting inserts requires them to be specifically made for your head, or so I was advised

Own the day

This is how it turned out, added volume but kept the shape.

Before, ~24-25cc
After 26.3cc (After some calculation I didnt need 28cc, so 26.3 will be perfect)

If you have some old valves and access to a lathe, machine the valve faces off so they sit flush in the seat. You can then grind the chamber roof without fear of damaging the seats. This will enable you to blend those "peaks" around the valves away.
