Melbourne Australia ... not a convict

Howdy,

I'm currently setting up efi on my 77 clubbie and have a question .....

If I hook the feed to the injectors into the inlet port and the return line into the return port on the reg can I check to see if I have any leaks in the fuel system ?

I'd like to check the lines I've made so far and because the return line has some fittings on it that will be a nightmare to access once the power unit is fitted.

Cheers Jon

that dosent sound right to me, wht reg is it? injection or a metty one?

really you want to use an injection reg, run the fuel feed through the fuel rail to the input of the reg and then the reg return back to the tank....

or just stick it on an airline and bing 20-40 psi up it and stik it in some soapy water.

Injection reg - 43 to 65 psi

/your'e correct it doesn't sound right ... normally it would be intank pump to rail past injectors to reg and back to tank but I wanting to test the back 3/4 of the fuel run ... tank, pump, reg and 85% of the fuel run excluding the rail and injectors. Does that make more sense ?

the only way you can check the return line is put the reg at the end of it, so just muve the reg down stream,

if you dont have a return line then you'll end up with as much pressure as the pump can make, probbably 90psi+

Just plug the return line before it gets to the tank, remove pump outlet and connect to your compressor (ideally with a regulator to play with the pressure starting low) and use soapy water to check for leaks.
