Dear Sirs,
i am now doing bmw k1100lt head conversion. i find problem areas and would like to ask your opinion. i use specialist component's drilling template to drill the block on both water and stud. i also order order med k1100 head gasket. after comparing med k1100 mls gasket, the water holes at the block are not aligned with the gasket. i am thinking to oversize all water holes on the gasket but some areas of gasket are embossed and it are overlapped with the water holes at the block. Can i drill through a few section of this emboss ? (i saw the instruction it is not allowed to drill overlap on the emboss area.) or should i leave it as is ? (i feel the overlaped section will cause water leak) or plug and redrill the hole again ?
