Im looking at modding my estate tank for turbo use. I have searched on here, and Will H mentions the use of a swirl pot. Im not against this idea, but it doesn't seem easiest as i am struggling to think of some where i could mount it, due to the use of 2 pumps and the pot itself!

There was another thread that said because it was using a carb the fuel starvation issue won't be an issue.

Also return on the tank itself. Where would be best place to put this? I've read in the filler neck? Or could i T into the low pressure side of the pump?

I have read that. And it does help with the van/estate tank outlet onky being 6mm so helps with that. I jist thought it wasnt best practice

So there are two Tee piece tricks - the one for leanoff under boost, and the second for the van/estate fuel lines...
Personally, I'd ALWAYS use a swirl pot given the shape of the estate/van tank....

Yhe only problem i can see with a swirl pot is where can i mount it?

Could i mount it in the engine bay but then where would i put the high pressue pump. Or would the spare wheel well be deep enough to house one?

You don't need a big swirl pot. Not sure how much space the is under an estate.

But it's really worth doing.

Others have modded the tank to fit a baffled sump and an outlet at the bottom.

EDIT: Just been out to look under a mates Clubman Estate. I reckon you could get a pump and a swirl pot on the near-side of the tank behind the valance. Might need a bespoke swirl pot, but shouldn't be a lot of dosh.
