Hi

Is there anyone around the South Yorkshire/Yorkshire region or surrounding area that would be able to help me out and finish building my turbo engine please.
I've had the gearbox rebuilt and fastened to the main block.
It just needs the head on,
Transfer case and clutch all fastening together.
I've been let down 3 times now so my build is really behind schedule.
I just don't have the knowledge or confidence to do it myself. I want it to actually work and be reliable lol.
If anyone is up for it and earning some cash please let me know.
Or if anyone can recommend someone?
Thank you
James

BENROSS might be able to help you out for a nominal fee.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Do you want it done for you or a member to assist you so you can learn?

I'm happy to pay someone to do it. Or to pay someone to do it with me so I can learn.
Cheers

Do you not fancy having a go yourself ? There's a pretty decent engine building DVD available, coupled with a Haynes manual it should give you a good guide.

I would have a go myself, but I don't feel confident enough to just go through the Manuel and do it so it will work.

Get the DVD I suggested above, this will give you a good look into what's involved.

As long as you can work methodically and work from “instructions” like the Haynes manual it really isn’t as daunting as it first seems. With a basic set of hand tools and some basic measuring equipment you may even surprise yourself.
At any point in the build you can always post for advise if you have a query.
The best piece of advise I can offer would be the cleanliness of the area your using to build the engine and the parts themselves needs to be Decent. Take your time, build it right and build it once.
Personally it’s a task I actually find very therapeutic (although gapping rings can test this) but this hopefully should of been done.
