Hi!

I seem to recall that someone has recommendet to me, to pin the idler gear thrust washers in place with 2 roll pins on either side, to stop them rubbing on the transfer & gearbox case. I'm runing helical gears (and not a huge amount of power). My concern would be fretting due to vibration/side loads if they are fixed in place...

Any experiences, recommendations, better solutions?

Cheers,
Jan

yeah didnt clever chap make a new washer with a grove and a tube that was taped into the blocks main oil feed it had three tinny screws and mounted to the block
the idler gear had a small hole drilled to pass oil to the other side and it had another washer made to fit

im going to go look for the thread now because it was really well done and quite honstly if i had the skills idd do it as i dont like the sc rollers just for the noise people think your engine is rat shit when its not

edit:
think it was robert that did the oil feed trick setup pics are not available now tho
