If you mean inertia to pre-engaged starter then I believe you should change the flywheel ring gear too no? Makes it a bit more effot than its worth. To wire it is easy. The solenoid is just separate on older types. |

Pretty sure he just means plonking the engine in as is and just changing the wiring over to inertia.

Just mount a solenoid close to the starter motor . Join the existing wireing loom to the solenoid and a large cable from the solenoid to the inertia starter. |
