Hi guys,
Thought I'd share a few pics of my mini. I bought it around 4 years ago as a totally standard car, an Austin mini 850, albeit with a slightly tired engine. I have always been into Motorsport and used to rally a modern car, but have always enjoyed watching the historic stuff and decided to give it a go myself. I bought the car with the intention of using it in the historic road rally scene and it's taken since I bought it until now to get it to a spec where it's ready to go. During the four years I have been using it so adjustments and modifications have been when time allowed. It's running a 1275 with a few med bits, although not turbo'd! But gives enough power and hopefully be realible and strong enough for what we need it for. Here's a couple of pics. Thanks for looking :)

Thanks chaps.
A few little things planned over the next couple of weeks, not much to do now just little things like I need to fit a rear tow eye or strap, wire in some spots and routine maintenance. One question, what oil do you guys run? Currently running valvloine vr1 but any recommendations on others would be much appreciated!

very tidy!

shame about those 6 vent sills, but I cant talk, ive got them on my mk1 too!

general concensus here is Millers CTV as its formulated for gearbox use.

Yeah put on before I bought it. I believe the correct 4 vents weren't available years ago so people replaced with 6. Still it's built for purpose and they're solid so no point replacing for the sake of it!

Thanks, I'll look at millers.

Yep, I couldn't get 4 vents anywhere when I did mine, I'll swap them off one day.

The VR1 is rated pretty highly. Up there with millers CTV.
