Hello All, Great website,

I was hoping someone could help me out. I'm looking for the basic dimensions of the turbo box's. I'd like to fab the box's myself being that I work with metal all day and just need an idea. I have seen all the great pics you've posted and they help out quite a bit but basic measurements would be great. Also, are there any basic things that should be done to the motor while its out? Flywheel, cam, pressure plate/clutch, head work, anything like that?

Thanks, james

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

Hi there NY.
I made mine, length 270mm by 70 mm depth, but looking back I would have gone for 80mm forgot the height but am sure it was level with the top of the sub frame
I also strapped the sub frame to bulk head using a piece of aluminium across its length. Fastened with three M8 bolts and fitted a strapping plate into the cab for strength OH! I double skinned my box by welding some 3mm flat bar around the edges and then placing another plate on top by doing this there is no heat that comes through the cab, look at my pics!
There are my pics of this done on benross mini on pics random photos on the front of the opening page on this site
Happy fabricating
