verification needed please

hi,i am looking at buying a metro turbo engine from someone on another mini site but need to make sure it is a turbo lump before i part with the cash and was hoping that one of you guys could help me out.the engine number is 12HC16AA ****** and the numbers on the gearbox casting are A/BZ3..DAM..BC&M...6620.
would this be a turbo engine?.also he says that this is a 5 speed box with the engine,would the gearbox numbers tell me anything about it without taking it off the engine and physicaly looking for myself.

gearbox numbers tell you nowt, someone here will prob put a link up to engine numbers , but you can`t tell much , other than what it should be , with the age of metro lumps many have been messed with so whats inside is anyones guess .
5 speed box.. what make ?? or is 4 forward and1 reverse to make 5 .lol.

Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

Don't know about the engine no. but they were never fitted with a 5 speed box, so unless this is an aftermarket JK etc item, then he's talking out of his arse ..... lol.

The engine number is early leaded turbo as I have one in bits in da garage
