drove the car properly for the first time today, seemed to run fine, no leaks or electrical problems. just need to get to a rolling road sometime in the week to sort out the timing and fuel mixtures etc. apart from that it goes well and sounds good too, gearbox is nice and noisey. i can feel its going to be very quick once i start to turn up the boost *smiley*

please don't be tempted to turn up the boost before it's been on the rolling road, If I where you I would not even drive it untill it's been on the rollers.

The day before my engine was booked to go on the rolling road, I was giving my engine some running in time, when I melted my MED built engine, it took out the block, head, and 3 pistons!!

yeah im not jim, but the car was at my parents and i brough it home so i could take it to a rolling road, only drove it about 10 miles and i took it gently, i wont be turning up the boost at all until i get a vmax head of a head with lower compression. but thanks for the advice

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

I know the feeling of driving a newly turbo'd car for the first time.

Well worth it!!!

Get it run in and set up then see how it goes!

*reminds himself to get that rolling road session booked!*

I really ough to get miune booked too...

I just knocked my ignition timing back and slapped in some super unleaded and millers VSP for my trackday last time.. the engine survived so it can't have been far out!!
