Australia oi oi oi!

Hi guys, Just hooking up my heater Tap.

I have a rover heater & was looking at using a rover heater tap.
I also have the smaller 1/2 type tap. any pro's or cons to either?

We don't have many rovers over here, So I don't have anything to go of.

any photos how they mount? Are they mounted in the engine bay? little bit lost where to mount these rover ones or if i'm missing any brackets?

Thank You!

They went from 1/2 pipe to 5/8" pipe on the heater system to slightly increase the capacity of the cooling system.

The later plastic heater taps are remotely mounted on a metal bracket on the rear of the engine.

If you look on the Minispares website, they have all variations listed.

I guess the 5/8 pipe might flow more coolant to heater matrix, but that might not be such a priority in oz.

Modern cooling systems have smaller coolant capacity to allow for quicker warm up and focus on efficient heat exchange, hence thinner better located radiators.
