I recently spied this Zeitronix unit. Ive never used it myself, but it looks pretty nice.

Ive been using the PLX M-300 on a few cars now. Its pretty good too.

Just got this response from zeitronix...

The basic system at $279 needs a laptop to view the reading. If you already have one - it's a pretty good deal IMO...
