hello from greece i built a hill climb mini clubman with a jack night dog box with very long first of 2.02
and 1,064 4th with 4.2 straight cut crown wheel and tranex diff i am thinking to build a high rpm turbo engine for this with rev around 8.700 rpm .a 2056 can hold power at this rpm ?what compination do you syggest for an engine over 200hp?

If you want that sort of RPM you'll need a short stroke. What cc engine are you planning? To get 200 out of a 1275 engine would not need that rpm

Assuming you want a smaller engine, I'd start by looking the 970 spec engine and putting a 16v head on that.

The engine RPM is irrelevant to to a turbo, it only cares about pressure and flow. So if a 2056 can flow what you need at the pressure you need to make 200bhp, it's the right turbo.

I think you will find you can utilise a larger turbo than that. In my eyes tho swapping the turbo is very easy so if you get it wrong first time it's no big deal. Build a bottom end with the largest capacity your allowed and get it to rev as high as you can afford then stick enough air in it to keep it happy *smiley*

Yeah, I know, but realistically on a European hiullclimb (much longer than in the UK) would that be sensible.

No it wouldn't Will but at 8.7k it does 124mph , I wouldn't fancy driving it at those speeds without runoff,lol
