Hi, How hard is it to change the diff. (im not the most experienced) Ive never changed one before should I attempt to do it myself i just folked out £160 dont want to mess it up. |

Haynes metro workshop manual covers everything transmission realted in great detail and plenty of pictures. Just treat the four-pin as any other diff. On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

As long as you can use a torque wrench and a feeler gauge it's easy.

Preloading the diff bearings IS a haphazard ( quote Vizard) job. I've never had any problems with it though. Maybe the preload isn't as "sensitive" as we think?? On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
