The MPI head casting is much thicker in the area where the alternator bolts on, plus you've got the temp sensor hole right in the way on a non MPI head casting.

I've plenty of MPI heads if you need one mate. Phil. Thanks, trouble is I’ve got the bigger flower valves and all the nice bits on this head etc :( How much would I be looking at getting the bigger valves and compression ratio dropped on an mpi casting? Where you running a front mount radiator? I’d happily machine another but my spare time needs spending on my own car as it’s been off the road too many years. A similar bracket could be achieved with steal plate and a welder tho. If your running a standard timing cover this idea would need some adaption due to lacking the use of the holes that I’ve used for the cps bracket which ties into the alternator bracket Yes I have a front mounted rad and have considerably less space than you have with no bodywork being cut or additional holes being drilled.
