Picked these up just before Christmas, no turbos involved but I thought some of you might like to see them.

I don't no a great deal about the history of the vans, just trying to find out more about them. The story of how I found them...I needed a tyre for a LP883 rim I have recently blasted and painted as a spare for my cooper. So I went round to my tyre fitters, they were coming out quite expensive so he told me to go see a mate of his round the corner who used to have minis, he used to give him any mini wheels and tyres he came across. He then tells me that his mate used to have two mini vans running consecutive number plates, but this is going back 15 years so probably hasn't got them anymore. So I think nothing more of the vans as I think they are long gone and just go round to ask about the tyre. "I'm sure I have got one, I will go down the workshop at the weekend and have a look" he says. Get a call a few days later and he has the tyre, so I go round his house to pick it up and get talking about minis, turns out he still has the vans! I tell him I would love to go see them if he didn't mind, a few days later I go round and have a look at them. I say to him if you ever think about selling them give me a call as I would love to own them. A few days later I get the call, "I'm going to sell the vans as I'm not going to do anything with them, you still interested?" I go to have a good look at them and we sort a deal and two weeks later they are in my workshop!

They look brilliant, what a lovely thing to find.

Could I trouble you to take some photos of the inside please?
I have a van of a similar age and would like to see how mine compares.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

Yep, it’s tucked up in the garage waiting for me to have the ability to replace the floor.

Not at the moment, it would just be good to see how they compare.
I was going to upload a picture of mine to compare, but I don’t have a good photo on the phone and I am away at the moment.

Do you know the history of the twins at all?
