6mm carb connections
Just measured the regulator and it’s circa 8.7mm
Is everyone running reducers or how does this work haha

In the past I’ve got the 6mm hose, put one end in boiling water for a while to soften it up, and managed to stretch it onto the regulator tails. Bit rough but nearer than reducers. Once it’s on it’s not coming off without a knife!

From the factory it was a 6mm hose stretched over the regulator connector.

As above. I just stretched the hose to fit the reg. 20+ years later it’s fine.

Easiest way to stretch it is with a tapered end of a heel bar. Boil the hose, warm the bar with a blow lamp, a very thin smear of grease, and get to pushing and twisting. It seems to help leaving it on the bar to cool, then repeating (dip in boiling water and re-warm the bar). Slides on like a glove; no effort!
