I am going to build the bottom end soon for a new engine which is a well sorted 1380cc sprint spec k1200 based unit. Usage will be circuit, track days and hillclimbs, with limited road mileage.

I have opted for the tried and tested undercrown cooling jets with inbuilt springs, it will be used hard on track, and allows for any future forced induction itches.

As it will probably never manage more then 7500 miles between strip downs I am assuming high milage/wear will not really be an issue for the oil pump, with sensible crank clearances etc. despite the undercrown jets and oil supply to the head. My thoughts are a standard oil pump will be adequate. Any thoughts on the matter before I commit to a standard pump, or any suggestions for more suitable units?
