leeds/wakefield.

should be very easy to get hold of , just ask your local engine shop to get them in for you , the last set i bought cost about £26.00.

I had a nightmare experience with turbo rings. Mini shop had two versions of the same part number neither fitting the pistons in my engine. I had a long chat with someone at federal mogul who revealed the Rover changed piston design a few time during he production of the metro turbo. Eventually I found the rings hat would fit came from Rover directly at £40 per pot! I opted for an overbore and new pistons as it worked out cheaper!

leeds/wakefield.

as ffar as i was aware all the AE pistons used the same thickness top two rings ,[0.061 thick] or as near as dammit, but used maybe two different thickness iol packs ,the difference in thickness being taken up be the spacer spring ,the acctual two scrapers are all the same thickness , so it will be quite easy to make up a set even if yyou are struggling to find the exact set. have a loomk in the vizard book fo reference.
