I ran an MPI rad and it was a bit marginal in traffic on a hot day. This was a normally aspirated 1380. I've opted for a cinq one for the 16v build just for that extra margin of safety. Much more restricted on space though incorperating intercoolers etc mind. Edited by minimole23 on 9th Aug, 2019. On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:

Cheers. I pretty much knew what the answer would be but just wanted to confirm it.

I found the standard fiat one wasn’t enough on mine on Trackdays. Gone to an alloy fiat one. |

Thanks Jonny. I’ve seen those alloy ones. Has it been much better ?

Phil, i'm using an alloy MPI rad on mine. No issues in traffic, fan cuts in and out nicely. I only see the high side of the black line when doing 120mph.. |

Yea no issue at all, stays cool on track in 30 degree heat. Only trouble I have is in traffic in hot days, could do with a bigger fan or an extra one. |
