Looking for advice on gearbox I've already got a crosspin diff and centre oil feed but thinking of a straight cut box for strength reliability don't fancy straight cut drop gears or close ratio car has intercooler fitted lightened flywheel Avon dump valve and waste gate actuator hi lift roller rockers quessing around 110 bhp when done .car will be road use mainly country roads with odd motorway use

a furthur thought,

the PIP signal tells the jolt the RPM, the the jolt then sends the timong back on the SAW wire, it cold be feasible for the jolt to be seing rpm, but the module not be seeing the advance signal at high rpm and defaulting to the backup 10 degrees advance.

I think you need to get a liming light on it.

Haha.

Yeh maybe look at the uprated helical set that minispares do now if you dont want stright cut whine.. ( although it's far less noticible from the gearbox than the drops)

One if the problems of the stright cut gear sets is they are all close ratio and can be a pain for a road car unfortuntely I think minispates helical kit is c/r too tho i think..?
