If you're really after only 80bhp, and you don't want a load of pipes under the bonnet, then no IC will work.

I'd use 12G940 head with no mods other than getting the chambers the right size for a CR of 9:1 (plus some small cutouts in the block to clear the exhaust valves).

Deffo fit the mapped ignition.

I did all of the above on an engine that had done 70k, and it was fine.

ive got a 12g940 rebuilt in the loft, so ill use that, and will do the block with the maggy drill at work i think!

defo dont want to run pipes everywhere, its not a statement of what i can do, or look at me type of car, its a mini advantage that happens to have a turbo.


looking at the speeduino now, the megajolt is a lot of money, i see them for like £250 or more. the speed is like £88 if you solder it yourself.
