Well, the time off has given opportunity to catch up on house stuff, garden stuff (2 tonne of chipping arriving today!) And in the garage.
My sons polo has had a couple of bits sorted after the parts hunt.
But I've been able to tidy the garage and play with the mini.
So now have master cylinder replaced after the mysterious brake fluid disappearance, starter motor renewed since the solenoid stuck last time I drove it out the garage and ran battery flat as well as knackered the motor.
New seats fitted, Sparco R100, very nice, 3 point cage bolted in, carbon fibre ashtray blank to take shift lights, Bose speakers from an audi A6 that I grabbed on a scrap yard run ages ago fitted in front vent holes in the dashboard.
Steering wheel and new indicator stalk, oil pressure switch replaced,
Fourth set of arches are now on the car, slam panel sprayed black to tidy things up, and behind grille too.
Bonnet has finally had the mounting points bonded in and almost ready to paint now, just need a hook and spring if anyone has one, and get a lip to mount the grille top to it.
Fan still to wire for the radiator fan, and in time source a replacement rocker cover.
And get forced induction back on it!
Next hurdle is finding an Mot station open!
