any1 tell me whats the quickest and most efficient way or removing rust, ive been sat today for bout 2 hour rubbing down bits with just plain old paper and its taking for ever. is there some kind of tool i can use to make the job quicker? speed is the best rush i have ever had!!!

unfortunatly lanxter paper is the only way. Using a grinder could end up causing more trouble and more holes! Sometimes if the rust patch is only surface then an electrical orbital sander will do the trick, otherways, its just braun n patience! As for covering buy yourself a spray can from halfords of any colour. Try not to use primer because primer is porus and will let the water through.

I found a thing called a Monti (sp?) brush works well. Fits in an electric drill. There's one with angled bristles that cleans or polishes depending which direction you run it.

2 ways i use no1 is wire wheel on a drill and no2 is you can get wire wheels which fit onto your angle grinder and i find these are very effective if you have acess to a compressor sand blastings probably better. then treat it with rust killer, then paint no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

when you paint on the rust killer gel like substance are you supposed to sand and remove it all afterwards? |

Try not to use primer because primer is porus and will let the water through. si. sorry cant agree on that! grinding the rust away is the only way of preventing it coming back if yo make the hole bigger thats generally because it was that big anyway, i usually use a knotted cup brush or 115mm flap wheel as these are less aggressive than a grinding disc and only slightly more work to use Crystal Sound Audio said:
