Good afternoon all
I have a 1293 with 10cc omega pistons being built at the moment.
To save a few quid at the moment and so I can use it under the current situation does any one know if I can run it with out a turbo with those pistons? I have a std 1275 head and 1275 turbo head and both turbo and non turbo carbs. Currently no cam as need to replace the bearings. Any help would be appreciated So I can use it till a time when I can turbo it.
Many thanks
George

Yes, thats entirely feasible,

assuming the pistons are flush with the block, with the 10cc pistons and a standard head your looking at about 9.8:1 compressin ratio which is fine for non turbo,

I would say run the standard head and when you swap to turbo swap on a head with the chambers taken out to 28cc.

Also as long as both those heads are un modded, then they will give the same compression, and flow, the only diofference on the turbo head is the exhaust valves... Personally I would fit the turbo head to start with, and get the standard 1275 head modded, then when you swap them you can flog the "turbo" head.... bit more cost effective.

Yeah that makes sense. Any recommendations for cams?
Thank you
