It is powered by the boost modulator ECU, which has a boost sensing hose that normally connects to the same line as the fuel pressure regulator sensing hose from the plenum chamber. |

That's the carb vent valve. Nothing to do with the boost gauge, and not worth refitting if it's broken. Just blank off its connection on the carb. |

Supposed to stop the engine running on when you switch off. As you switch off it opens and vents the carb, same effect as flooring the throttle as you turn off. |
