Assigned this weekend to getting the bits together for my engine, and got most of the parts together and down to Surrey. So far i have:
MG metro engine
BMW K1100 cylinder head

Just trying for the 1071 sa crank.

Unfortunately this engine will not be forced induction, want to experiment with the K1100 short stroke N/A before i take the plunge, and the time constraints having to finish it for my HND Motorsport Project presentation in May!!!

Looking for about 100 bananas and high compression, not sure on final capacity or wot overbore to go for but want a reliable?! 9k screamer!!!

have been in contact with the dutchman but have heard no word recently. I have already got rid of the subwoofer and all the stereo, BUT my sister learns to drive next year and i have sold the project car that i was going to do up for her!!! Combined with the fact that i want to build a seriously light car to put the engine in means i wanna a nice new car to build with a nice livery!!!

No i am giving her mine and building a new one from scratch for myself! She has been badgering me since i got it finished saying that she was gonna steal the keys when she got her license!!!!

i remember when my sister had my dads beetle as her first car.....

I gave my sister a 106 for her first car. I could have sold it and made about £400 profit, but was a kind brother.

It lasted 6 weeks before she drove it into the large signs that mark a bad bend.

What a waste of time and effort that was.

the otherhalf really wanted a 306 so i got her one for her birthday,i payed £500 quid for it. up till now ive bin driving it as she hasent passed yet. her dad took her out for a test run in it at the weekend. Funny enogh she dont like it now and wants to sell it! so i no wot you mean by a waste of time TF

She has had her eye on my car since i put it into storage at my nan's house, she goes rounds there twice a week to start it up and run it for five minutes!!

well with regards to the project, mostly stripped down now and just plonked the head on top to see wot it looks like. Found an old copy of Car and Car conversions from 1996 with the project in progress today. And it just so happens that the bloke who put the hard engineering work into it is a friend of a friend, dermot at Power for Peanuts. So going to see him for some more advice.

but at the moment, it is all being planned and MUST be finished by May for my HND project presentation!!
