Hi,

I purchased my first mini a couple of months ago, it seems that the owner before the last has put in lots of MG parts and im pretty sure it has a metro 1275 in it. I'm just wondering if someone can help to identify the carburetor which i have taken of it? I read through a previous thread which compared the two and it seems it is an N/A carb but the dashpot resembles that of a turbo carb? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is there any advantage to a turbo dashpot?

No, only than you can fit the plunger retaining clip that nobody uses anyway.

Bit of an oddball as the throttle cam and choke cam have been put on opposite sides, as they are on a turbo carb.
