Currently building up a na 998 with 020 over bore.

Nothing wild. 12 to 1 compression, ported head, metro cam,...

But now I came up at the flywheel and pressure plate and spring... I ordered a new Diaphragm ( standard) and clutch plate but to be honest on close inspection the flywheel and maybe pressure plate don't seem to be worth reusing. Rusty old stuff ( engine been in parts and boxes for 30! years all labelled)

So question. For smooth fast road use... What flywheel would you recommend. And maybe what pressure plate.

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

12 to 1??

Depending on the timing and how high will you rev it, standard pressure should be good for road, 15/ 20min track day start to grind and loosing gears.

I run an ultralight on mine now whit orange diaphragm, 998 +40, 12g940, RE13, CR gears....

Put an engine together last year standard flywheel, lightened and balance, std pistons, 12g940, cooper 997 cam, damn that thing its fun, used blue diaphragm is holding strong even whit 13 wheels.
