I know its 'what someones willing to pay' question..

But just generally speaking how much is a 998 auto engine worth?
Has done 55k and came from a 1990 city.

Most dont want nothing to do with them but there are mini owners that for reasons that need autos..

I think it probably depends on which version.

One with the park selector or one of the early ones without.

And obviously the 998 version with twin plate clutches is worth far less than the 1275 (later version) with triple plates.

I paid £40 for an early 998 (complete engine and box) a couple of years ago, just to see how they worked.

the Minus came with a low mileage unit and I couldn't give it away.
