Hi, thought it was about time I signed in here.
Had a turbo mini some 30 plus years ago - it was a Turbotechnics kit for a metro - their first kit apparently. Anyway it had awful lag, went like stink but melted a piston. I have a metro turbo kit lying around here somewhere, but never fitted it. The current project is likely to be a BMW 8 valve head, started welding it, machined the cam cover and that's as far as I've gone.
Anyway, likely to be a long journey that takes a while, to many other things on.

Hello,

We've got a working Turbo Technics kit on a mini. Interesting design, I'd like to fit it back to a metro as per it's design intention. Good luck for the new project.

If I recall someone called Geoff or Tony Bloor bought up the design or the kits and re-engineered them to fit minis, a long time ago though now. It needed better ignition control IMHO, I melted one of my pistons in a few seconds....
