Gearbox casting No's

I've been having a clear out and have found a gearbox with the casting No 22G1832, I've doing some searching but found nothing definitive.
I believe from memory that it was a close ratio early GT box but would like some confirmation.
If anyone can offer some enlightenment I'd be grateful.

Does the lay gear have 22g1040 stamped on it? If so I believe that’s how you tell it’s a cr GT gear set. If not then I think it’s just a common rod change box

Hi Andy,
Yes it does and the the first motion shaft gear has 18 teeth and pot joints, so I believe it is a GT box.
