I used to run a turbo inlet manifold with a Mirage manifold years ago the I had to thin the inlet flanges to match those of the Mirage exhaust. Im not sure the thickness of flange Matt uses on his though.

Although the turbo one had thicker flanges I believe to better match the exhaust manifold flanges.
So if your exhaust manifold has thinner flanges and a normal intake clears it, it may suit better.

Or I'm sure I remember something along those lines.
