I'm building up my engine and box - it's an MG Turbo so I've got the verto clutch currently.
Realistically I want a solid torquey ~120hp engine. Maybe a bit more later.
I will only run 10"s so torque will probably be limited by traction.
I have other quick cars so it doesn't need to be psychotically fast.

Anyone got advice on which clutch to use?
1) Do I need to go RTS at this point?
2) Will an uprated turbo setup be OK?

thanks for any help!

Lowestoft, Suffolk.

You could use the AP uprated cover with the AP 180mm racing plate but from memory this won't take much more and this won't future proof you for the inevitable hike in power.
The RTS is tried and tested with cars producing over 220 HP but there is more cost in sourcing the parts and assembling.

Run whichever verto you have, has the strongest fingers.
They vary wildly, and no guarantee that one sold as a "turbo" is the strongest.

If you have a selection available to you, simple test is set it on the floor, place the cup on the actuating fingers and stand on it. Whichever offers the most resistance is the strongest. ( or if you have a press or similar that would be a better more empirical test. )

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will
