2mm MLS-5 head gasket

Hi, I need to bring my CR down and am thinking about using a 2mm thick MLS gasket.

Is that common and feasible to work?

it will work, but ieally you want to keep the pistons within a certain distance of the head to retain a decent squish.

a better way is to get the pistons flush with th block & have the head taken out, 28cc is pretty usual, then youve got a decent sqish band

ah, ok, at the moment the pistons stand 0,35mm below the block and head volume is 21,4cc.
Is there a "how to make" here on the forum what shows where I need to grind the 6cc ?

turbo phil has got some vids up on head mods, I waoud say a clean up and then some deshrouding around the edges, and cutting back should get you there.
