It all depends on how much you prefer filing SU needles to multiple profiles, playing with different dashpot springs, playing with oil damper viscosity, trying to alter weights and springs inside a distributor... Or just typing a few numbers into a laptop... Many years ago I bought an Avonbar high boost needle... so I naively thought I'd just be sticking that in the turbo SU when I rebuild it and not doing mch tuning after that! After a 20 year restoration I should probably just focus on getting the car on the road and the SU might be the quicker option. Having said that, I'm seriously tempted by injection. |
