So. Second alternator in 3 months ( on 2 minis) that is overcharging ( one gave 20.7 v this one kicks out 16.20 volts.
you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

What alternator are you using? I'd be very surprised if regulators aren't available for Lucas alternators. Spares for anything made by the "prince of darkness" are normally plentiful and don't sit on the shelf for long

Standard Lucas. Don't see them for sale on minispares and mini sports. Non of the local shops have them.

i have the one i already replaced open today and post some pics. the other one is still in the car.
