So. Second alternator in 3 months ( on 2 minis) that is overcharging ( one gave 20.7 v this one kicks out 16.20 volts.

Usually I would not mind putting in a new one but since brexit alternators here cost me about 120 to 130 euros.

Unfortunately it seems that rectifiers aren't available any more eighter.

Are there any alternatiefs for those? One is a 17acr the other is a 70 Amp type. Seems a chame to bin a whole alternator just for that.

Greets.

What alternator are you using? I'd be very surprised if regulators aren't available for Lucas alternators. Spares for anything made by the "prince of darkness" are normally plentiful and don't sit on the shelf for long *hehe!*

I found this without much searching? - https://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/product/1048

Any pics of the regulators ?

I'd be surprised if an alternator repair place couldn't do something with it.

Or fit a different regulator.

Latter link says Lucas A115 and A127...searching ebay brings up various repair parts.

Is all wiring sound ? all earthing good ? what type of battery ?

So after some looking it seems that I can get the parts in the UK. Local car shops have no clue where to get those.

They do look different to what is in there originally but the wires match. The numbers Mach. So... Let's see what customs say to make out if it's cost worthy to send them overseas.
