There is a huge amount of advice on here in the Search section on sorting the HIF44 setup, but very little on such a carb swop. May be best to try and sort the HIF?

I have had several renault 5s and the carburetor has never been misconfigured, instead the hif 44 changes even when it is hot or cold, I have wasted a lot of time with it, I am going to test the configuration and I will tell you if I have been successful, I have I have to make the intake manifold, but there is enough space for the renault 5 carburettor

It depends what manifold you make for it. If you make the space, then there is space.

But the HIF44 is simple, reliable and it works very very well.

speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

It hasn't still got the bimetal strip holding the jet? That can cause variability as the carburettor warms up.
