Hello all,
Does anyone know what the difference is?
I know the turbo has standard size inlet valves and the MG has the bigger ones, but any difference in the actual ports?

No, zero difference between ports of the same castings.

There’s a difference in the throats just below the seat. The big valve head has a choke/Venturi cut just below the seat improving airflow. It’s subtle, but it’s there.
The smaller valve heads simply come off the seat straight into the port.

Doesn't the bible by Dave V. Cover this subject. I am sure somewhere I have read that the MG head castings are different in the intakes, flowing better. The article went if memory serves said that through the different levels of modification the Mg head was only truly beaten for flow performance by a fully worked head when tested with the same same valve lift.
