Hi,
I am building a 1310 that will start out as a Normally Aspirated engine, but am hoping to add an SC in the future and therefore want to ensure that I don’t need to strip the engine to make the conversion.
The NA engine will push out around 80ft/lbs torque, when I convert to SC the CR will be 8.5 with 10PSI with an anticipated output of around 130 ft/lbs at 4000/6000 RPM.

Currently I have a MED ST1 Lightened Flywheel and Clutch kit. I have been told that this is only good for about 70ft/lb.

I’d like to upgrade this clutch by fitting an extra 988 spring but don’t have a clue where to get one from? All the ones on MiniSpares for instance don’t seem to be differentiated.

So can anyone advise on which additional spring to fit so that the clutch does not slip and still has a good feel.

Thanks

Somewhere around Swindon

You cant add a spring on the pre verto, you would need to change the blue clutch diaphragm to an orange.

Sorry, I should have mentioned this is a Verto clutch and all the clutch mechanism is Verto (short arm).
