Clubman gearset noisy?

Hi guys how noisy is clubman gear set without straight cut drops gears?

I run the clubman gears and recently swapped out my SC drops in favour of helical's.
There is a noticeable reduction in noise and obviously silence/normal gear noise when in forth.
Its certainly more bearable than a full SC set up.

Thanks Isit loud enough to have to wear ear plugs?

Personally I'd have to say yes as I suffer badly with tinnitus.

Ok thanks for being honest ill scrap that idea then as it's going to be my daily when it's done. Do you what sort of milage I aim looking to get from a freshly rebuilt engine and gearbox with regular oil changes?

That all depends on the quality of the build, how it's setup, how you treat it etc.

I've seen factory a-series engines run well over 100k miles.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Great would a turbocharged a series be any different?
