Afternoon, I'm stuggling to find a product that I'm sure I've seen somewhere. The usual problem being, I've no idea what it's called.

I'm building a wheel rack for the trailer, no issues with a good old ratchet strap to keep the swing bar in place, but for security, I'd like to be able to lock it so so pikey can't pinch 8 wheels and tyres! Avoiding the through bar and end plate approach if possible.

Was thinking along the line of a over centre lock, but would like it to be adjustable like a turnbuckle.

Think I can modify something like this https://unitrailer.co.uk/product-eng-3880-E...ott-262-mm.html to have a longer adjustable rnd, but I'm sure something will already exist.

Let me know if you have a solution!
Cheers, Stu

Thanks Pete, some interesting stuff on there, will come in handy for van and camper bits!

For now, think I'll just throw a cable lock through the wheel centres and round the rack. Having chucked the 4 wets and 2 hard compounds, there's a significant difference in the tyre wear and thus size, so ratchets securing the bar will be a more flexible solution than my initial idea of a catch.

Trouble with pikeys they always find a way around security like using battery grinders .
