is it worth going for floating pins? I can't really see much advantage apart from when the pistons need removing again. Also piston wise I think the only choice really for a 1380 are the 11cc omega I'm sure they did them in 18cc at some point.

MED stock the 18cc Omega's.

Got floating pins in the NA engine, was told asides from easier removal/fitment because of the increased bearing area, it reduces the load?

Not in 73.5 only do 11cc.. Also if fitting to stanard rods they do not sell the correct bush inserts for the rods. So it's more work to fit them.
So I'm not sure Is it worth going for floating pins or just press fit.

Damico opened up my 10cc's to 16cc when they added 16v cut outs for one of my K builds. it may be worth an ask if there is sufficient meat that can be removed to increase the dish CC on a 73.5, they've machined enough stuff for SC over the years .
