So as the title suggests when would you consider fitting a new floor rather than repairing whats in front of you?

I am halfway through replacing the inner and outer sill sections on both sides of the shell and considering the prep required and additional repairs to be done to complete this especially around the rear pockets, I found myself asking would it have been quicker and neater to have fitted a whole new floor?

When I think it through I have to run weld down each side of the car 4 times, 2 runs for the inner sill and 2 runs for the outer sill plus all the additional repairs for drivers and passengers foot wells.

The cost in time prepping and repair panels Vs the additional cost of a floor and the reduction in prep and amount of weld run.

From a chargeable job perspective which would cost more which would be the quickest do you think?

I opted for the full floor as mine needed loads of patches and a heel board.

I did have to modify it a bit to get the subframe to fit though..!
